Located inside of the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel on the north side of Knightsbridge (rd), Dinner is up the first set of stairs and straight through the archway (not left archway). Dinner is a Michelin star rated restaurant, and you will want to make a reservation. Even though they have separate vegan and vegetarian menus, this is not a place for vegans or vegetarians; at least do not expect for vegans or vegetarians to get full or have the same experience as an omnivore or someone who eats meat.
This restaurant has an amazing menu which only includes new takes on ancient recipes. For instance, the Frumenty, which is “octopus, spelt, smoked sea broth, pickled dulse & lovage”, and is from a royal cook book from 1390 AD. Other examples are their Powdered Duck Breast, “Smoked fennel, apricot, spiced umbles & raisins”, from a 1670 AD recipe, Braised Celery, “Gruyere, girolles, truffle, cider apple & smoked walnuts”, from a 1730 AD recipe, to include their deserts, one of which is the Sambocade, “Goats milk cheesecake, elderflower, apple, roasted figs & smoked candied walnuts”, also from a 1390 AD recipe book.
Not only does Dinner offer an amazing menu, the experience is as one would expect of such an establishment.
